I’ve been part of the Netgear User Forums since early 2005.I use a lot of Netgear Prosafe devices and have done for a while, so I know a fair bit about Netgear’s business class range of routers.
The forums recently got ‘updated’ and everyone has had to start again with usernames but its no biggy because its a nice environment and there is a wealth of knowledge available to other Netgear users.
There are some great people like, KWheelerAZ and jmizoguchi who are also in the industry and spend a lot of their own time helping others.
jmizoguchi aka June has also started a dedicated VPN website, www.vpncasestudy.com
Its a fantastic resource for all Netgear VPN related issues or configurations and is another great example of I.T evangelism.
You either have to login as the administrator or a user that you’ve assigned the Remote Desktop users to or just allowed them to logon locally in Group Policy or the Terminal Services Configuration. othewise, VNC gets you around that by just connecting them right to the console
