I finally managed to get my dual boot issue sorted out.

I wanted to get rid of my XP installation now I have Vista running exactly how I want it.

As it turned out, the only reason the Windows Vista DVD wouldn’t pick up the already installed operating system was because the system partition on the second drive hadn’t been made active.

Its rather a simple thing really when you think about it but I presumed when you ran the Vista DVD it would automatically set the partition in ‘focus’ to active.

What do they say about assumption?
