This past week I have been on holiday and although I said I was going to disconnect for the week I actually suprised myself with how productive I could be.

I took my laptop incase of a major meltdown at work but it actually never saw the light of day. It stayed in my car boot for the entire week, so how you may ask did I manage to be so productive?

My Windows Mobile Smartphone…

I never expected I would say this but it was more than sufficient for my needs while I was on holiday. I noted blog ideas and developments using OneNote Mobile, blogged using MobiBlogr Premium, sent a few emails, composed several letters for future hardware evaluations, kept upto date with the feeds I subscribe to with Google Reader Mobile, had a conversation with a fellow Netgear forum moderator through Live Messenger and I’m even blogging from it now.

All of this with a normal sized phone.

We take this kind of every day technology for granted so its nice to take a step back once in a while and realise just how productive we can be from a ‘simple’ smartphone.
