WMExperts posted an article regarding an upgrade to Windows Mobile 6 due to be released in February and shipping on devices in May.
The upgrade will be intended for smartphones and gives the user a scrolling interface similar to what Microsoft and Vodaphone developed for the Palm Treo v500.
pocketinfo.nl reported that 6.1 is going to be a vertical scroller with horizontal options in place of the 500v’s horizontal scroller. Improved WiFi, Exchange integration, and Bluetooth are also may be included in the upgrade too.
There have been no official announcements about this from Microsoft.
