Hands on with the HTC Touch Diamond 2

At the weekend I was shopping in Nottingham’s Victoria Centre when I noticed a huge banner for the HTC Touch Diamond 2.
The advert was for the Carphone Warehouse which as it happened was less than 30 meters away, so I thought I would go and check it out.
The lady behind the counter was all to happy to let me take a look at a live demonstration model, especially knowing my contract was up in a few months.
Overall the device felt excellent, the build quality as I have come to expect from HTC was superb. The new version of TouchFLO3D felt snappy and the added tabs a welcome addition. The most notable difference for me was the accuracy and responsiveness of the screen, its greatly improved over the original Touch Diamond and instantly that difference showed through.
I’m still pining after one but with the Palm Pre heading to Sprint stores in the US for 6th of June, I wonder how much longer it will be before we have access to it over here in the UK?
